Mermaid Bistro

A neighbourhood dining room with the warmth of a private house — close, candle-lit, and a little romantic. We worked the room around the bar: oxblood leather banquettes, a long marble counter, and brass that's been left to develop a patina.

Lighting was the quiet hero. Layered low-level pendants, candle sconces and a single overhead pool of light at the pass keep the energy gathered around each table after dusk.
